Purchase of a new microscope by GSEMI

Updated: Oct 21, 2023

Graphenea has purchased a new Optical Microscope from NIKON, which will be used to characterise the samples provided to the L2D2 consortium.

The system Graphenea has acquired is a much more powerful microscope, with an automatic stage up to 8-inch size wafers and an autofocus system which will speed-up the acquisition of the images considerably, reducing the total time of the analysis.

Dark field inspection in all the objectives will be available (5x, 10x, 20x, 50x and 100x). The system has been installed in a temperature and atmospheric controlled Class 1000 Clean Room and will therefore enable the quality control of Graphene-on-wafer samples sensitive to dust and particles.
